News Death Notice
CRAWFORD, Pearl Baker age 80, of Oxford, OH, passed away June 19, 2011 at Hospice of Hamilton. Pearl was born in Jacks Creek, KY on October 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Jeff M. and Sallie Ann (Hoskins) Baker. She married Matt Crawford on July 17, 1948 in Manchester, KY. They were blessed with 61 years of happiness together. Matt preceded her in death on May 17, 2009. Pearl was a member of Somerville Pentecostal Church, a home maker, gardener and most of all a caregiver for her son Jeffery Lynn, the apple of her eye. Her greatest joy was her family and especially her son. She showed her devotion to him every day of her life. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Ford (Alene) and Carl (Jewel) Baker; 3 sisters, Cleo (Clay) Sizemore, Lena (Robert) Bowling, Rhoda (William) Sizemore. Pearl is survived by her son Jeffery Lynn Crawford of Oxford, OH, one sister Lona (James) Hensley of Richmond, IN, and her husband's cousin Sim & Flora Crawford of Cincinnati, OH, who have stood by them through the years, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to thank Hospice of Hamilton and Butler County Care Facility for their excellent care. They were wonderful! Funeral services were held at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home on Wednesday June 22. Rev. Riley Parker and David Zeigler officiated. Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.
