News Death Notice
ELAM, Zilphia "Ann" age 83, passed away on November 12th, 2012 at 5:45 a.m. while being cared for by the staff at Hospice of Butler / Warren. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Ann was born in the State of Washington to Elmer and Corrine Richardson, in 1928. After 25 years, she retired as a school bus driver from Madison Local Schools. Ann could always be found with a book in hand, when she wasn't spending time with family or searching local wooded areas for mushrooms. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Elam; brother, Calvin Richardson; sister, Eileen Ainsworth. Ann is survived by her children, Arnol (Charlene) Elam of Fairfield, Jack (Paulette) Elam of Charleston, WVA, Paul Elam of West Elkton, Cindy Pleska Elam of Middletown, Pam (Randy) Arvidson of Portland, OR, Christy Byrd Elam of Trenton; grandchildren, Robbie, Tracie, Daniel, Jack Daniel, Dorothy, Robert, Jane, Christina, Dion, Corrine, Michael, Tatum, Torin, Tessa, Chelsea, Shelby; several great-grandchildren; brother Jess (Jan) Richardson of Spokane, WA. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 9:00 am- 11:00 am at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Minister James Kinser officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Butler and Warren County, 5940 Long Meadow Drive, Franklin, OH 45005.
