BAUEREISS, Nellie (Walden) went to be with the Lord peacefully at 1:35am Christmas morning December 25th surrounded by loved ones. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Nellie was so vibrant and loving you couldn't help but to love her. It is very fitting that she go home on Christmas day because she has been such a gift to so many. She was born in London, KY, Oct. 2, 1940 to Katie (Sullivan) Walden and Otis Walden the 13th of 16 children. Nellie moved to Hamilton where she became a successful business woman opening Nellie's Hair Styling in Fairfield, she later worked at General Electric for 10 years. After moving to Marion Indiana Nellie went to Purdue University and graduated cap and gown. She later managed Wright Beauty Colleges in Kokomo and Fort Wayne, Indiana and was on the Indiana Board of Cosmetology. Nellie was very active in sports and coaching several select soccer teams and basketball teams. Nellie attended Princeton Pike Church of God where she was active and she loved singing in the choir. In September of 1981 she met her husband to be John and after a short courtship they knew they were made for each other and they married in December of that year and have been inseparable since. They just celebrated their 31st anniversary on the 18th. Nellie loved her children, step children, and grandchildren so very much and the greatest gift they could ever give her would be to spend eternity with her in Heaven. Nellie was preceded in death by 6 siblings Charles, Allie, Beulah, Frank, Sarah, and Jesse. She is survived by her husband John and his two daughters Christine Caudill and Corinne Bauereiss her daughter Jessie (Brad) Taylor and her son Jack (Christy) Rice Jr. and 9 grandchildren Megan, Seth, Caleb, Chelsea, John, Jared, Jesse, Christin, and Luke at 2 great grandchildren Benjamin and Parker. 9 brothers and sisters Jim, Hettie Crawford, George and Louise, John, Gene, Betty Jones, Mary and Jim Jarvis, Doug and Vickie, Jack and many loving nieces and nephews. Her visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Princeton Pike Church of God from 10am-1pm with funeral services to follow at 1pm. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
