SCRIMIZZI, Dominic P. "Dom" age 91 of Hamilton passed away Sunday May 26, 2013 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born March 4, 1922 in New Miami the son of the late Carmelo and Kathrine (Cuginotta) Scrimizzi. Mr. Scrimizzi was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps and served as a corporal during World War II. On March 4, 1960 in Hamilton he married Shirley Barnett. Mr. Scrimizzi worked for many years as a union carpenter. He played baseball and basketball for Wright Patterson Air Force Base and also played semi pro baseball for the well known Savage Auto Supply team. He was elected into the Butler County Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife Shirley Scrimizzi; his 8 children Lisa Scrimizzi, Gina (Rodney) Skrobinski, Nick Scrimizzi, Toni (Jesse) Kidd, Joel Scrimizzi, Mario Scrimizzi, Brenda Coffey, and Dave Warrick; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his brother Jim (Vivian) Scrimizzi and his sister Rose "Toots" (the late Jack) Isgro. Mr. Scrimizzi was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 2550 Millville Road on Wednesday May 29, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Eternal Rest at 11:00 AM, with Father Ron Combs, officiating.
