Cynthia Elizabeth Johnson-Pemberton(1956 - 2014)

Cynthia Elizabeth Johnson-Pemberton was born in Brunswick, Georgia, on December 28, 1956, and passed on January 17, 2014, at UCLA-Santa Monica.
Cindy, along with her family, moved to Lemoore, CA., in 1968. She attended local schools, graduating from Lemoore High School in 1975, and later from the College of the Sequoias with a degree in Childhood Development. She worked for several years in childcare, enjoying the satisfaction of helping young children learn and watching their joyful approach to it. Cindy was also employed in varying positions that dealt with the public, where her sweet smile and quiet personality was appreciated by those that she came in contact with. In recent years she became caretaker for her parents, caring for them until their passing. She was a loving, caring person with a big heart, willing to do whatever she could for those she cared about.
Anyone who knew Cindy had an admiration for her skill at interior design; she could take a small budget and make it look like so much more. Her ability to arrange varying items into truly beautiful displays was well known. It was a point of good natured humor that each visit to her home would usually mean a whole different setup of photos, furniture, draperies, and mementos, always resulting in a beautiful result.
Central to her home themes was always her family; she lived for her children and grandchildren, and there was always ample display of them to be seen. Much of her work held photos she took herself; she was a very avid photographer and videographer of her family's activities. She had a record of everything from her kids/grandkids sporting events, school activities, birthdays and special events, to those unexpected day to day moments. She cherished her time with them, loved them deeply, and being able to see that preserved is a blessing.
Cindy had a large family, with three brothers, three sisters, their spouses and children. She remained close to them, enjoying the reminiscing and teasing that took place whenever a family get together happened. She was on the quiet side but stories that were shared would make her laugh, especially when she was reminded of some of the more adventuresome events that she took part in. Through the years she was always there for support when needed and loved them all deeply. We will miss her so very, very much.
Along with family, Cindy had many friends that she considered family as well. She was always a person someone could count on to be there, whether it was a good situation or a time of need. She valued all her friends dearly and held them in her heart, always.
She was a beautiful soul, gifted in so many ways, sweet, loving, compassionate and she will be missed beyond words. We were blessed to have had her in our lives.
Cindy is survived by her children, Erin Pemberton, Ronnie Johnson and wife Tasha Nieto all of Lemoore, and Ryan McDaniel of Visalia; her grandchildren Brianda Enriquez, Marissa Enriquez, Aayden Vargas, Natasha Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, RJae Johnson, of Lemoore and Ryan McDaniel, Jr. of Hanford. She is also survived by her brothers Tim Johnson and wife Cheryl, Terry Johnson and wife Jennifer, William Durden and wife Janet, all of Hanford, sisters Mickie Lewis of New Mexico and Barbara Carreiro and husband Doug, of Lemoore, former husband Kenneth Pemberton, and her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Judy and Lawton Durden of Lemoore, Rance Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., and sister Tonya Johnson.
