Gwen Katherine Hild(1938 - 2014)

Gwen Katherine Hild, 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at her home, south of Hanford. Katherine was born in Tulare, California on November, 24, 1938 to John and Gwendolyn Hild. She lived on the family farm her entire life; with the exception of college years spent studying to be a Spanish teacher at Fresno State University. Kathy, who never married, was an avid gardener and played the piano, accordion and clarinet. Her other interests included needlepoint and embroidery. She was a 1956 graduate of Hanford High School and attended Lakeside Community Church.
Katherine was proceeded in death by her parents and sister; Janet Hild. She is survived by two sisters: Barbara Stuber of Hanford and husband PJ and Connie Brandt of Bakersfield and husband Tom. She also is survived by two nieces: Ann Stuber Gonglach of Denver and Jenna Brandt Ciecalone of Las Vegas; four nephews: John Stuber and Michael Stuber of Hanford, Bret Stuber of Tulare and Kent Brandt of Bakersfield. Katherine also leaves behind 12 grand nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591 and a Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Hanford Cemetery; 10500 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230.
