Manuel Henry Machado(1943 - 2012)

Manuel Henry Machado, 68, passed away on December 19, 2012 in Visalia, California. He was born on December 24, 1943 in San Luis Obispo to Manuel & Josephine Machado.
Manuel grew up in San Luis Obispo and graduated from San Luis Obispo High School. He was active in the livestock industry and owned a successful livestock transportation business for nearly four decades. He enjoyed time spent at the auction markets visiting with ranchers and friends and was known and loved by everyone.
In 1966, Manuel married Janet Bjorkland. They were happily married for 46 years and raised their children in Hanford, California. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very present in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Manuel is survived by his spouse Janet Bjorkland Machado of Hanford, California; sons, Chandler of Maui, Hawii, Rodney (Kori), Monte (Jenny), and Brad all of Visalia, California; daughter, Kim Stickler (Jim) of San Luis Obispo, California; grandchildren, Shaley & Taite Stickler, Paige & McCall Machado, and Colton & Caleb Machado; sisters, Loretta Reade, Bobbi Mares, Lavina Holder, Margie Lessi, Beverly Simons and Evelyn Davis; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Manuel is proceeded in death by his father and mother, Manuel & Josephine Machado; brother, Bud Machado; sisters, Nadine Negranti, Norma Dye & Eileen Davies.
Rosary services will be held at Reis Family Mortuary 991 Nipomo Street, San Luis Obispo, at 6:00p.m. on December 27, 2012. Graveside services will be held at Old Mission Cemetery 101 Bridge Street, San Luis Obispo, California on December 28, 2012 at 2:00p.m.
