Wanda was born on September 6, 1927. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2012 at age 85. While in high school she met Gene Raineri on the tennis courts at Hanford High and they became high school sweethearts. At age 17 Gene left to join the Navy, while on leave from the Navy he and Wanda were married at the Hanford courthouse on March 16, 1946. Gene and Wanda settled in Hanford and had three daughters Diane, Carolyn and Debbie. In 1955 Wanda contracted tuberculosis and was treated in Springville for a year and a half. While there she learned how to play the ukulele and developed her gift of music. Once back in Hanford Wanda enjoyed teaching catechism and singing with the children at church. Gene then bought Wanda her first tenor 4-string guitar, Wanda sang and played her guitar for Masses, church gatherings, weddings, funerals and rest homes throughout the years. Wanda was the music minister at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Our Lady of Fatima. The Benemerenti Award was bestowed upon Wanda by Pope John Paul II in recognition of sharing her gift of music with the body of Christ. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Godly woman who touched many lives, was loved by many and had a servant's heart. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Medford, her son-in-law Frank and her grandson Michael. Wanda is survived by Gene her husband and rock of 66 years, her daughters Diane Kessler, Carolyn Klassen and her husband Rich and Debbie Dooley and her husband John, and her four grandsons, and seven great-grandchildren.

There will be a Rosary on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. everything is taking place at Shrine Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary cemetery.
