Andrew died unexpectedly on December 11, 2012 after celebrating a "Tuesday Night Dinner" with many family members. They had a grand time and Andrew was in his usual jovial mood. Andrew was born in Watsonville, CA., but moved to Hanford with his family as a little boy. He attended Thomas McCarthy Elementary School and Hanford High School.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Michael Joseph Conway, Sr. . Loving survivors include his wife Trudy, his daughter and son-in-law, Bridget & Jason Black and his step children, Melody & Steven Lee and Derrick Drummond. He adored his six grandchildren: Tyler, Madison, Drew, Tristin, Taylee and Drake. He is survived also by his treasured mother, Dorothy Serrano Conway and nine siblings and their spouses; Mike & Joan Conway, Randy & Mary Richardson, Rita & Darryl Morgan, Rick & Lisa Conway, Ellen & Kumar de Silva, Anne & Quentin Toyloy, Toni & Steve Tannenbaum, Jim & Michelle Conway and Johanna & Dave Andrada. Many, many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews are left to miss their Uncle Andrew. Andrew was the co-owner of Continental Auto Exchange on the corner of Hwy. 41 & Grangeville Blvd. He & his business partner, little brother and best friend, Jim Conway, ran this business together for the last 25 years. Andrew had a special bond with his brothers Jim, Mike and Rick. Andrew would "defend" any one of them in a time of need!
Andrew enjoyed attending concerts, riding his Harley, but most of all spending time with family and friends. He loved his Faith and treasured his many friends from all walks of life. If you were fortunate enough to be a friend of Andrew's, you were a friend for life. He had a heart the size of Texas and it was made of GOLD!
Services will be held at St. Brigid's Catholic Church, 1000 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA. The rosary will be recited on Friday, December 14th, at 6:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15th at 2:00 p.m.
