Elsie Virginia Majors passed away at Hanford Community Hospital on Oct. 26, 2013. Elsie was born to Catherine and Arthur Norris on July 21, 1913 in Los Angeles, Ca. In the 1920's the family moved to Hanford where Elsie attended Delta View School. After the death of her mother the family moved back to Los Angeles, where Elsie graduated from Englewood High School.

Elsie married Sidney Majors on Sept. 12, 1935, they resided for a time in Los Angeles and then moved to Lancaster area, where they were active in the Desert Riders, and Elsie was the first Quartzhill Women's Club president, and a member of California Native Daughters. Elsie made Lemoore her home for about the last 15 years.
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Catherine and a sister Margaret. She is survived by her two sons, Nelson, wife Carol of Lemoore, Art, wife Joyce of Carson City, Nevada, 6 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and brother Arthur of Sedona, Az.
Private graveside services will be held in Lancaster, Ca. at a later date. Family is requesting donations may be made in Elsie's name to City of Hope, in Duarte, Ca.
