JoAnn Gomez Obituary
JoAnn was born in Hanford, California on September 10, 1959 to Leonard and Rachel Gomez. She was raised and educated in Hanford, CA. JoAnn loved to dance and sing and she lived her life to the fullest. You could hear her laugh a mile away. JoAnn was a member of the Hanford Pentecostal Church of God. She was a Slot Clerk for The Palace Indian Gaming Center in Lemoore. JoAnn loved her family and her grandchildren. They fondly remember her as the "the best mother-in-law and Nana ever."
JoAnn will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
JoAnn leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Cynthia Silva and husband, John of Hanford, CA and Robert Silva and wife, Ariana of Hanford, CA; her parents, Leonard and Rachel Gomez of Hanford, CA; her grandchildren, Robert Isaiah Silva, Samuel Silva, Yazmin Silva and Anessa Ortiz; two sisters, Stephanie Sanchez of Hanford, CA and Janet Guerra of Hanford, CA and many, many friends.
Visitation with memorial services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Hanford Pentecostal Church of God, 323 E. Eleventh St. in Hanford, CA.

Joann.. Thank you for the good times. I will miss you dearly, but I will be at ease to know that you will no longer feel pain my little Shorty. You will be guided down the path of Diamonds, through the doors of gold to your promised land where our Father up above will now have you as his Angel. To all the familia... Think of our Angel who is free. Joann has been guided by our fathers hand through the Diamond path that we too one day will walk through.
Bobby & Cynthia.. You meant more to your Mom than words can say. She loved an cherished you very much. Joann was blessed to have you in her life as you to were blessed to have her as your Mom.
Leonard & Rachel.. You raised a beautiful Daughter. Not only was she beautiful on the outside she carried that beauty inside as well. She loved you sooo much and I know you loved her even more.
Janet & Stephanie... Not only was Joann your Sister, she was your freind and she alway's had your back's the same way you had her's.
Robert, Isaiah, Samuel Yazmin and Aness.... Your Grandma's little Angel's and in Grandma's eye's you could do no wrong. Now your best Grandma ever and all the other Angel's are watching over you.
Joann... I miss you girl, the phone calls, the visits , our spagetti dinners, our crazy times.. Your free now and we are the one's that are left behind. I will never forget you and I will forever hold on to all the memories we shared from working the fields to having our family's we alway's kept in touch and I am so happy for having those thoughts to look back at. I LOVE YOU and I will never forget you.

R.I.P JoAnn and I will always remember your crazy laugh that I enjoyed listening to so much.. You had such a great sense of humor that would always make my day. You were so full of life and always so happy here on earth, So I can only imagine how happy you must be right now up in heaven with the man above. Joanna till this day, I still can't believe that your gone..I can't seem to get you off my mind.. Thankyou so much for all the times that you made me laugh. You would always help make my day with your silly jokes and your crazy laugh that I enjoyed hearing so much..you were so full of life ..and I know now that you are in a better place where you have an even better reason to be excited even more...I will truly miss you along with your many friends, Co-workers, and family. I am shocked and extremely sad to hear about my friend Jo Ann. I heard just the other day that she was in the hospital, and then I heard she got out of the hospital, then I open the paper tonight and see her pretty face, and I am truly shocked and very sad. My heart goes out to Mr. and Mrs Gomez, Janet, Stephanie, Cynthia, Bobby Jo, and the rest of the family. I send my condolences to the entire family and friends.

Janet, Stephanie & family, I was so shocked to learn of Joann's death. It seems like just yesterday we were in high school joking, laughing and having a good time. I will miss my friend!

My heart aches, because I did not make it in time to go see you, I heard you were in the hospital just the other day, but also heard you had gotten out, then I open the paper and see your pretty face, and I am truly shocked and very sad. Life takes us though many journies and the last journey was to see you again after all these years. We hugged, laughed, remembered the good times at the camp and said we would keep in touch. I will miss you cousin but will always remember the good along with a few bad to times in our lives. My prayers go out to your family and know that you were called back 'Home'.
