To Tio Juan(as I knew him)growing up in Dilley, Texas with my grandparents: Eloy Vinton(Tio Juan's Uncle)and Irene Vinton(Eloy's wife). My mother, Ramona Vinton Castaneda, always remembered Tio Juan affectionately growing up in Dilley as first cousins. There are wonderful memories of Tio Juan in Texas roots. I will always remember Tio Juan's 85th birthday at Camp 30 on June 21, 2008, the hottest day, but had opportunity to share special moments and conversation with my Tio Juan. I love you, Tio Juan.

I will cherish the last time I seen you and told you that I love you.. I rubbed your head and touched your soft hair and put my hand over your beating heart... Our family will never be the same with you gone .. and it hurts my heart and makes me sad ..but I know that you are with Grandma and Uncle James and you are all smiling down on us ... and you all will be forever in my heart <3
