Larry Vincent Rubio, age 20, a resident of Lemoore and a member of the Tule River Indian Reservation, passed away September 10, 2010 in Lemoore.
Larry was born January 30, 1990 in Porterville to Warren Jay Rubio Sr. and Fatima Anne Cota and at the age of 3 took up permanent residency in Lemoore where he received his education at Jamison High School. Larry had many interests: He loved to ride his quads off road or at Pismo Dunes and was an excellent quad mechanic. Larry liked playing basketball, horseshoes, tricking out car music systems, listening to country music, native drumming and cheering for his Oakland Raiders.
He was an excellent father to his daughters and his family and many friends will keep him in their hearts forever. Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Rubio Sr. and Phyllis Rubio; great-grandparents, Francis and Richard Nieto, great-grandparents, Wilfred and Verna Vega; aunt Wanda Joy Rubio and Baby Rubio. Surviving family includes mother, Fatima and husband Jose Cota; father, Warren Rubio and wife Georgeanne; twin daughters, Tulachi and Tima Rubio and their mother Lynette Jeff; one brother, Faron Robert Gutierrez; one sister, Kyla Gutierrez; grandparents, Nelda Nieto and Clyde Vega; brother, Warren Rubio Jr.; sister, Stardawn Rubio; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be at the Tule River Reservation Mater Dolorosa Catholic Mission Thursday, Sept. 16, beginning at 5 p.m., followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Tule River Reservation Mater Dolorosa Catholic Mission followed by interment at Tule River Reservation Upper Cemetery.

Dear Fatima, My heart goes out to you and the Rubio family.May God comfort you at this time and ease the pain you are feeling in your heart.Larry will never be forgotten.He will live on in all our memories of him.He will for sure live on through his beautiful baby girls.We love you and we will keep you in our prayers.With our sincere condolences your cousin Jamissia and your cousin Frances.

Larry you were a cool homie! I enjoyed the time we spent together bbq or just kicking back at my pad or yours. my kids new you as tio larry and my son is always saying he misses is uncle. i known you since you were a little kid and i watched as you grew into a family man with your own kids. everbody in the Jones family misses you so much. the last time my mom said she seen you she hugged you which meant a lot then and means even more now. my Native im gonna mourn ya until i join ya!!!! much love from Ryan, Amy, Joseph, Emily, and lil Ryan.
