Lupe Loya was 88 years of age when she passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 12th, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Lupe led a very quiet but significant life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very caring and generous "lady" who held a high standard for herself and her family, In her younger years, Lupe worked seasonally at Del Monte Canary in Kingsburg, California. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time and cooking for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who knew her affectionately as "GG".

Lupe had seven brothers and six sisters as well as many brothers and sister-in-loves, nieces and nephews on both sides of the family that she greatly loved and esteemed as well as many life-long friends. Parents Rafael and Antonia Cervantes, Sister Nancy, brothers; Raymond and Frank preceded her to heaven. She devoted many hours praying for all of her family and praying for the sick.
She is survived by her husband, Julian Loya, son, Michael Loya of Hanford, daughter Gloria Robertson and husband Charles of Lemoore, grandchildren: Angela Brasov and Karla Scott of Lemoore, Kristin and Peter Torres and Selina Loya of Hanford, great-grandchildren: Haily Robertson, Jeremy Scott, Lindsey and Karli Brasov and Jayden Michael Torres.
Lupe was well-loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home. Mass will be on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
