Richard was a truly loved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend ... because he loved.
He was born in Grangeville, California to Otto and Johanna (Heuseveldt) Groeneveld. Richard was a mechanic and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Albertha Mae (Koopman); his children and grandchildren, Ronald Eugene Groeneveld and wife, Diane and children, Shelby and Owen; Colleen June (Groeneveld) Carlson and husband, Eric and son, Evan; Michael Shannon Groeneveld and wife, Delci and children, Savannah and Michael; Rose Daleen (Groeneveld) Guitierrez and husband, Lupe and children, Ashlee and Damen; his sisters, Wilma Gunnick and Betty Osterhoff.
He was saved by God's grace because he believed.
Visitation will be from 10 to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford. Graveside Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29 at the Grangeville Cemetery in Armona.

Groeneveld Family - sincerest condolences in the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. I met Richard a couple of times as I was a friend/roommate of Rose's several years ago in Hanford and had been out to your home with her.

To the family of Richard Groeneveld my prayers are with you as such a amazing man.
I am his optician and out of the kindness of his heart always brought me walnuts which i still have some..
He bragged of his childern with such pride.
My Gods angels hold you now as I know he is with you.

So sorry to hear of Dicks passing. He and my husband, Dan Todd, knew each other thru working with each other some years ago. As you may know Danny passed away June of 09. Do you think they may be visiting each other now in Gods presence and talking about cars. I hope so. May God bless you all.
