Robert Perry Obituary

Robert "Bob" Perry passed away at his home in Tulare on September 15, 2010, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Tulare on January 27, 1941, and preceded in death by his mother, Bertha, sister, Reatha and loving dog Muggs.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judy Perry; daughter, Leann Gouveia of Fresno; son, Mike Perry of Bakersfield; brother, Eddie Perry of Tulare; niece, Linda Ocaranza of Glen Ellen; brother in-law and sister in-law, Bob and Kathee Duncan of Tulare; and his devoted dog, Happy.

Bob was a proud alumni of Tulare Union High School, Class of 1958. He was a Boy Scout Leader, a competitive runner, running in more than 400 races and an avid book collector. He retired from Dairyman's Creamery in 2000 after working there for 42 years. In retirement, Bob became a master small engine repairman, working at Morris Levin and operating his own business. He enjoyed the friendships he made at Morris Levin and through his running and his repair business.

A memorial service will be held at the Tulare United Methodist Church, 228 W. Kern St. Tulare on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the City of Hope Cancer Center, 1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010 are encouraged. Other low-fragrance flowers are welcomed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel in Visalia.

Judy and family.
I just heard about Robert's death last Saturday, Sept. 25. I am truly sadden by his death. Robert and I had many classes together and worked on our Class of '58 reunions. He will truly be missed by his classmates and family.
