Shane Rocha Obituary
He was born on June 17th, 1992 in Visalia, Ca. He lived in Tulare until 2001, and for the last nine years has been living in Hanford, Ca. He attended Hanford High School for three years, and graduated from EFJ high school this past June.
Shane is survived by his grandparents, Dawn and Nellie Miller. His parents, Paul Rocha Sr. of Hanford, Ca. and Katherine Rocha of Visalia, Ca. His four brothers, Paul Jr. 21, Travis 20, Brian 15, and Shawn 14, of Hanford, Ca. And he is also survived by his future son, Shane Michael Rocha Jr. who is expected to be with us December 21st.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at Koinonia Christian Fellowship 12536 Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, with burial to follow at the Hanford Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford.

Paul Sr. I was so saddened to hear the news of your sons passing. I see his picture and it reminds me of the great smile you have. My mind and heart can't wrap around the thought of losing one of my boys, so I can NOT imagine how you feel. Trust in God, lean into him for comfort and know that your Shane is resting in his arms. My condolences to all of you. You know how much you all mean to me and my heart is broken. He was such a great kid and what I remember the most was his smile. I remember when I coached him in little league...Shane, Shane, Shane.....Shane of fools (he said he didn't like it but deep down he loved his lil song) May he rest in peace.

Shane, You were a very bright and lovable individual. Your everyday great attitude will be missed. However I believe that your personality had to have been needed somewhere else. To your family and friends i wish for a quick acceptence of your journey to a new world.
Kathy, Paul Sr., Travis, Paul Jr, shawn and you Brian I am here for you for anything that I can do within my reach to help you get through this time with ease. Yes hard it will be but Brian You know that I am currently going through the same loss of losing a brother as yourself. When I say anything that is what I mean. So very sorry for your loss. We have great memories of Shane's years at Buena Vista and have thought of you and the boys often through the years. We looked through pictures from those BV days yesterday...Shane & Brian were such good buddies and Shane always had that big smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My prayers to the Rocha Family. I could only imagine (and even if I imagined- I know it wouldn't be as close) how this is killing you all inside. A loss of a loved one is very hard but to lose a young one with so much more to live has to be tough. Make sure you take the time to grieve- do not let it bottle up inside- be strong but do not make mistakes you will regret. Our orayers are with you all. Houston "Kate" my love to you sweetheart....You are holding the closest thing right now to Shane. Make sure you take good care of yourself. My son was good friends with Shane, I had the pleasure of meeting him and having him at our house a few times and he was a great kid. He was always there to help my son when he needed it and he was always happy and full of life, a joy to be around. My thoughts, prayers, and love go out to you and your family. Shane will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

I graduated with Shane from EFJ. It was a gift to have him around everyday making all of us smile. Shane and I helped eachother get our work together so we could graduate. I have nevee been so proud in my life. We faced similar struggles through school and Graduated together. I now look at EFJ Class of 2010 picture and look at myself with Shane standing next to me with his head held high!! Shane will be forever missed!!

I had Shane as a student last year and he was with me for 4 periods out of the day. I got to know Shane very well and grew to love that kid. His big giant smile was contagious. His passion for life was just so encouraging. His determination to get back on track and graduate from high school on time was inspiring. I am so sad that his life ended so early but I believe that it will not be in vain. Something positive will come from this...it has to.

I was very saddened to hear the news of Shane's passing.
My daughter Sidney Regalado had gone to School with Shane from Kindergarten til 4th grade. When the Rocha's moved to Hanford.
Sidney had just mentioned Shane the week before, just remembering different things as childhood friends.
I am deeply saddened for this families loss.
Shane may God keep you and have a Greater plan for you.
