Violet J. Freeman (Cleggett) was born on October 24, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas and raised in Oregon. She went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2013. She had made her residence in Hanford and Lemoore for the past 52 years and most currently lived at Kings Nursing and Rehabilitation on Leslie Lane in Hanford.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Coy Freeman and Myrtle Capps and her beloved brother Kenneth Freeman. Violet is survived by her 5 children, all of Hanford: Son, Bryson (BK) Miller, and his wife Linda Miller and their 3 children and 6 grandchildren; Son, Steve Miller, and his wife Jackie Miller, Son, Doug Hall, and his wife Lisa Hall and their 2 children, Daughter, Christine White, and her husband Wes, their 3 children and 2 grandchildren and Daughter, Denise Hurt, and husband Ron and their 3 children. She is also survived by three sisters; Audra Day of Oregon, Wanda Greenan of Sunnyvale and Pat Miller of Oregon. Violet and her family were blessed that her final illness was extremely short. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her fiery spirit and strong will to live. Her family would like to thank all who supported us with prayers and acts of kindness during this difficult time.
Visitation will begin Monday, December 30th, 2013 at 12:00 noon with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel in Lemoore.
