Manuel Dias Jr., a longtime resident of Hanford passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the age of 88 years at Hacienda Health Care. Manuel was born March 11, 1926 in Lompoc, CA. He met the love of his life, Marie and they were married for 62 years. During his life he loved to hunt, fish, travel and loved to watch all types of birds. He was a Word War II veteran serving in the Navy Seabee's on Okinawa. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the County of Kings and retired in 1990.

Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Marie of Hanford, daughter Catherine Dias Garcia (David) of Hanford, son Manuel A. Dias (Kathy) of Corcoran. Sister Alice Bertao of Lemoore and brother Joe (Elsie) Dias of Hanford. Grandchildren; Carrie Garcia Ortiz (Polo) of Visalia, Brian (Amanda) Dias of Corcoran, Chad (Vanessa) Dias of Arroyo Grande, Brandie Potter of Visalia, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Manuel and Catherine.
Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
