Graciela Martinez Obituary

Graciela "Nicha" Rojas Martinez died Monday, March 18, 2013, with her family by her side.
Nicha was born April 8, 1940 in Durango, Mexico to Manuel and Bernarda Rojas. In 1959 she married Florentino Martinez and they brought their family to Hanford in 1963. Family was always the center of life for Nicha. She was an immaculate housekeeper with talents in crocheting and cooking. Her tamales and mole are legendary among her family and friends.
Nicha was the oldest of 12 children and is survived by 7 sisters and 2 brothers. She is also survived by her children 5 sons and 1 daughter, Alex & Cindy Martinez, Phillip & Joyce Martinez, Armando Martinez, Javier & Rachele Martinez, George Martinez, Leticia & Richard Ribera. 15 grandchildren Tarah, Mitchell, Jessica, Ashley, Page, Courtney, Hayley, Kylie, Amy, Jacob, Ethan, Joselyn, Cassidy, Geoffery and Nicholas. 3 great-grandchildren Drake, Sutton and Falicity.
There will be a Rosary on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 22, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Family requests donations be made to the Heart Foundation or Diabetes Society instead of flowers.
Arrangements under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Service.
