CORBIN — Jake M. Saylor, age 82, of Corbin, passed away on Monday March 17, 2014 at his residence.
He was a retired engineer from General Motors.
Jake was preceded in death by his Parents, Purr and Allie Saylor; Brothers, Isom Saylor, Blaine Saylor, Murl Saylor, and Gene Daniels; and by a Granddaughter, Florence Miller.
He is survived by his Wife, Maxine Hunley Saylor; Children, Patricia Belcher and husband Dennis of Michigan; Diane Maxey and husband Glenn of Somerset; Jake Saylor and wife Michelle of Washington Township, MI; and Terry Saylor of Corbin; Nine Grandchildren, Maxine Cook, Robert Miller, Crystal Beitler, Wes Finley, Tiffany Bourne, Casey Pfabe, Jake Saylor III, Satin Satterfield, and Michael Snover; Great Grandchildren, Lisa and Jamie Cook, Gabriel Cook, Hallie Miller, J.T. Elrod, Aimee Elrod, Emily Miller, Jacob Miller, Nicole Beitler, Doug Beitler, Megan Beitler, Andrew Dorsey, William Beitler, Brodrick Finley, Cohen Finley, Cort Pfabe, and Jayden Saylor; Brothers and Sisters, Jeff Saylor, Delia Charles, Alkie Saylor, and Jerry Daniels; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Saylor will be held at 2:00pm on Friday March 21, 2014 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating.
Entombment will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Thursday March 20th at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
