HARLAN — Rosetta Smallwood Stanton, 64, of the Laurels, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital. Born November 5, 1948 at Watts Creek, she believed in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Smallwood and Martha Cornett Smalllwood; two brothers, William A. Smallwood, Jr. and Ewing Smallwood; one sister, Debbie Cooley.
Rosetta is survived by two daughters, Mary McCoun and husband Tim, Dayhoit; and Martha Stallings and husband Joe, Virginia; one brother, James F. Smallwood and wife Cora, Lawnvale; three sisters, Lucille Derck, Watts Creek; Mary Daniels and husband Ray, New Tazewell, TN; and Lucinda Proffitt, Wabash, IN; two grandchildren, Timothy McCoun and Brandon McCoun; one great-grandchild, Brayden McCoun; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Smallwood.
Her request was to be cremated.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home.
A memorial service will start at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Kenneth Smith and Jerry Gibson officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718
