PARTRIDGE — Irene Bowling, 88, of Partridge went to her heavenly home, Sunday, March 9, 2014, following a long illness. She attended the Benham Methodist Church where she was the pianist for 45 years.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Oscar Bowling; her parents, Ira and Laura Combs; a son, Ronnie Bernard Bowling; a brother, Kermit Combs; and a host of special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Survivors include her children, Randall Bowling and wife, Brenda; Joanne Dinsmore and husband, Hal, all of Partridge; a sister, Mary Joyce Ritchie, Sassafras, KY; and a sister-in-law, Jan Caudill and husband, Don, Dayton, OH. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Scott Dinsmore, Nathan Dinsmore, Tonia Henry and her boyfriend, James Carroll, Tracy Rutherford and Bob Rutherford; great-grandchildren, Blayne Rutherford, Sydney Dinsmore, Amber (Earl) Chapbell, Aaron Henry, Blake Rutherford, Brendan Rutherford and Tifa Rayne Dinsmore; a great-great-grandson, Tanner Chapbell; and a great-niece, Brittney Ritchie.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 until 9 pm at the Tri City Funeral Home.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home with the Reverend Rod Raleigh officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bowling-Eversole Cemetery at Partridge. Pallbearers will be Scott and Nathan Dinsmore, Blayne, Blake and Brendan Rutherford, and Aaron Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be Hall Dinsmore, Marcus Ealy, Allan and Keith Ritchie, Larry Halcomb, Bob Rutherford and Buddy Eversole.
