CUMBERLAND — Larry Nease, 65, of Cumberland passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home. Born November 5, 1948 in Cumberland, he had lived here most of his life. Larry was a coal miner with 18 years of service with Scotia Coal Company. He loved people and would share anything he had. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing and spoiling his grandsons, who he never told "no". He attended the Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Nease and Audrey Morris Nease; and his twin brother, Darrell Nease.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Singleton Nease, Cumberland; two children, Vickie Cornett and husband, Greg, Jackson, KY; Larry Joe Nease and wife, Shoni, Blair, KY; six sisters, Charolette Rhodes and husband, Merle, Cumberland; Sherry Johnson and husband, Doug, Cumberland; Linda Kaye Stidham and husband, Donnie, Blair; Shelia Sexton, Lynch; Gail Gilliam and husband, Billy Ray, Cumberland; Gwen Caldwell and husband, Peter, Cumberland; and two brothers, David Nease and wife, Shelia, Lynch; Greg Nease and wife, Sherry, Danville, IN. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Zachary and Noah Cornett, Hunter and Cameron Nease; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 until 9 pm at the Tri City Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home with the Reverend Jason Caudill and the Reverend Mike Blair officiating.
Burial will follow in the Nease Family Cemetery at Cumberland.
