CUMBERLAND — Lorraine Blair Nolan, age 95 of Cumberland, KY, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at the Tri Cities Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for the last 6 years and during this time, the caregivers there became both friends and "family". She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended services at Creech Avenue Church of Christ and the Harlan Church of Christ. She was devoted to studying the Bible and lived her life as a testimony to its teachings. Lorraine will best be remembered for the many young lives she touched during her thirty four years as a first grade teacher at Chad, Cumberland, and Totz Elementary Schools. She leaves behind a legacy of "children" who will never forget their first grade teacher.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Enoch Chadwell Nolan; six sisters, Bobbie Jo Nolan, Wilma Frazier, Mabel Williams, Kathleen Hogg, Patsy Roberts and Grace Byler.
