Mable Jenkins

PINEVILLE — Mable Louise (Dean) Jenkins, 59 of Pineville, KY, formerly of Harlan died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Pineville Community Hospital in Pineville, Kentucky. Mable was born February 26, 1955 to the Late Pleas and Minnie Dean.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-mother Bernice Dean; two brothers, Elmer Dean and Eliza Dean; two sisters, Doris Grubbs and Lillie Dean; as well as a special nephew, Tommy Lee Dean.

Surviving are her daughter, Remonia (John) Smith of Cleveland, TN; two sons, Ronald "Joe" (Angie) Jenkins of Dayhoit, KY and Elzie Jenkins of Pineville, KY; three grandsons, Christopher Couch of Dalton, GA, J C (Denisha) Jenkins of Mary Alice, KY, and Devin Jenkins of Cohutta, GA; five granddaughters, Christa (Chris) Vaughn of Resaca, GA, Michaela Howard of Cleveland, TN, Lindsey Thomas of Rockyface, GA, Katie Jenkins of Corutta, GA; and Aaliyah Lewis of Dayhoit, KY; and three great-grandchildren, Jaxton Thomas of Rockyface, GA, Bentley Jenkins of Cohutta, GA, and Averi Jenkins of Mary Alice, KY. Also surviving are four sisters, Leoma Thomas of Kitts, KY, Susie (Jerry) Middleton of Evarts, KY, Elizabeth (Harold) Davis of Pikeville, KY, and Charlotte (Tim) Smith of Grays Knob, KY. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends will also mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with the funeral immediately following at 7:00 PM both in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, Kentucky. The Rev. Tommy Stovall will be officiating the services.
