Curtis Horn

LOYALL — Curtis Cawood Horn, 73, of Loyall passed away Friday, February 21, 2014, at his home following a short illness. Born May 3, 1940 in Harlan, he had lived here most of his life. Curtis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and owner and operator of Horn Small Engine Repair. He believed in the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hobson Horn, Sr. and Bessie Shope Horn; one brother, Hobson Horn, Jr.; and three sisters, Ophie Blaylock, Betty Jo Hughes and Geraldine Flogy.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia LaDuke Horn, Loyall; three children, Brenda Horn Hinton and husband, Rex, Baxter; Scott Horn and wife Leslie; and Chris Horn and wife, Hillary, South Carolina; and one brother, Earl Horn and wife Charlene, Winchester.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and a host of other friends and family.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 24, 2014, from 5 until 7 PM in the Chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 PM with Brother Mark Turner officiating.
