LEJUNIOR — Geneva Dingus Pace, 82, of Lejunior, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born May 28, 1931 in Letcher County, she had lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Pace; parents, Joe Dingus and Sarah Della Dingus; two sons, Larence Henry Pace and Arvil Pace; one grandson, John Philip Reeder; and one granddaughter, Julie Marie Pace.
Survivors include eight children, Roger Pace, Billy Pace, Ernie Pace, Alvin Pace, and Marvin Pace and wife Christina, all of Lejunior; Carolyn Jones and husband David, Owensboro, KY; Nancy Brown and husband Grant, Lafayette, IN; and Dorothy Reeder and husband Johnny, Loyall; Two sisters, Shirley Caudill, Lake City, Florida; and Rosie Dornell, Vera Beach, Florida.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 8 PM in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 1 PM in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend John Carter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
