ESCONDIDO, CALIF. – Martha M. Bronson, 94, of Escondido, Calif., and formerly of Blackford County and Wells County, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014.
She had been a resident of California for nearly 70 years.
Martha was born in Wells County to Charles and Edna McIntire.
As a registered nurse, she joined the Army
Nurse Corps during World War II and was stationed in Palm Springs, Calif., where she met and married William H. Bronson, her husband of 64 years.
Martha is lovingly remembered for her kind and gentle nature.
She is predeceased by her husband, William, and is survived by her son, James Bronson; her daughter, Janice Wentworth; her son-in-law, William Wentworth; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Sinclair Fisher; numerous nieces and nephews in both California and Indiana.
Inurnment will take place at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, Calif.
Allen Brothers Mortuary, 435 N. Twin Oaks Valley Rd., San Marcos, Calif., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
