ELMHURST, ILL. – Shirley Webb, 84, formerly of Hartford City, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.
After winning the National Title as a professional bowler and a long and enduring courtship, Shirley married Chuck Webb. They started their family in Hartford City and managed the Ervin's clothing store until moving to Elmhurst, Ill., in 1969.
Although always devoted to her family, Shirley continued her passion in the floral business working with Pfund & Clint Florist.
There was a continuous revolving door for friends and family, not only in their home, but at their cottage on Lauderdale Lakes Wis., or when vacationing on Marco Island, Fla.
Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late John A. and Mabel M. Michal, prominent owners of Michal's Florist, Chicago, Ill.
She was the devoted wife of 55 years to the late Charles "Chuck" Webb, and the loving mother of Jay (wife, Nancy) Webb, Terri (husband, Ted) Crapple, Lee (husband, Dave) Williams and Linn Kroeger as well as the dear grandmother of Erik Webb, Brian Webb; Kyle Williams, Jennifer Williams and Allison Kroeger.
May we always remember the way she could light up a room with her smile as she is now reunited in eternity with her best friend.
Visitation will be at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Rd., Elmhurst, Ill., on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, from 3 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill.
