MONTPELIER – Jerry J. Kitterman, 69, of Montpelier, passed away unexpectedly at 8:22 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Indiana University Health Blackford Hospital, Hartford City.

He was born on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1944, in Bluffton.
Jerry was a graduate of Montpelier High School and was a United States Army veteran having served from 1965-1971.
He worked as a mechanic and welder for Dierkes Implement, Decatur, and Applegate Steel, Saratoga.
Jerry enjoyed metal working, reading, trains and watching Fox News, House and History Channel.
Survivors include his wife, Barb (Jordan) Kitterman, of Montpelier; two daughters, Melissa (fiancé, Mark Bean) Smith, of Montpelier, and Niki Moriarity, of Montpelier; three sons, Rickey Moriarity, of Montpelier, Allen Moriarity, of Montpelier, and Jerry Simpson, of Marion; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kitter-man, mother, R. Jeanette (Ducy) Kitterman, and his first wife, Marilyn (Jamison) Kitterman, who passed away on January 31, 1987.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, from 3 to 7 p.m. and from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013.
A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, with the Rev. Dewey Zent officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Montpelier. Military Rites will be conducted by the United States Army at the graveside.
