MUNCIE – Pamela I. Jones, 70, of Muncie, passed away following a brief illness early Monday morning, April 22, 2013, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, following a brief illness.

She was born on March 19, 1943, in Redkey, the daughter of Clyde "Doc" and Manie (White) Horine.
Ms. Jones is a 1961 graduate of Dunkirk High School.
She had worked as a nurse's aide for Blackford County Hospital, Hartford City, for 12 years prior to her working for Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, an additional five years. In addition, Pamela had done some home health care nursing at various times.
Ms. Jones enjoyed sewing, gardening and doing crafts. It was said of her that "she was a thrift store junkie."
Survivor's include two sons, Nick Jones, of Denver, Colo., and Chad (wife, Jan) Jones, of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Natalie (companion, Joseph Adams) Scott, of Muncie; two grandchildren, Devin Shields, of Holdenville, Okla., and Lauren Scott, of Muncie; one brother, Darwin (wife, Janice) Horine, of Fort Wayne; one sister, Sandra Schwartz, of Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde, in 1971, and Manie, in 2007.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams St., Muncie, with the Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Private family burial will take place at Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey.
Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from noon until service time.
