HARTFORD CITY – Robert "Bob" E. Linn, 89, of Hartford City, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

He was born in Montpelier on March 21, 1925, to Jesse Linn and Marie (Creek) Linn. Both parents preceded him in death.
Robert graduated from Montpelier High School in 1943.
He served in the United States Army, where he received the EAME Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal of World War II Belgium Fourragere.
Robert married Betty (Lautzenheiser) Linn on November 15, 1946, in Montpelier.
He retired from Borg Warner Automotive, Muncie, on April 1, 1987, after 36 years of employment.
Robert enjoyed traveling with his wife, Betty, and he enjoyed fishing.
He was a member of Blackford Masonic Lodge #106 F.&A.M..
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty Linn, of Hartford City; daughter, Connie DuFour, of Hartford City; grandchildren, Laurie Mitchel, Craig Ruble, Tony Linn, Jody Linn and Angie Sands; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma Elnora Fuller, of Bluffton, and Christina Louise (husband, Tom) Wagner, of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sons, Larry D. Linn and William A. Linn, and sisters, Mary Ellen Zehner, Margaret Ann Cooper and Velma June Smith.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014, and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Keplinger Funeral Home.
