NEW LONDON, OHIO – Robert "Bobby" Eugene Dee Jr., 64, of New London, Ohio, died early Friday morning, March 7, 2014, at home with his loving family.

He was born on August 15, 1949, in Hartford City.

Robert attended Clover Leaf School, Carol Stream, Ill., and Christie Lane, Norwalk, Ohio.

He was a member of Christie Lane bowling team and received many trophies and metals including a gold metal at Special Olympics.

Robert was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, New London, Ohio, and served many years as an usher.

He was also a member of Knights of Columbus.

Robert loved to eat Spaghetti-O's and ketchup bread while watching the Cleveland Browns.

He also took great pride in beating his cousin, Steve Groce, at pool during the annual Run-A-Muck gathering.

Robert didn't know a stranger and loved everyone.

He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Dee, of New London, Ohio; one brother, Greg (Cathy) Dee, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Nancy (Rick) Copsey, of Ludington, Mich., and Amy (Alan) Cawrse, of New London, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Lynn Dee, of New London, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Dee Sr., and one brother, Tim Dee.

Robert's family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. with a wake service beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, Ohio.

Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave., New London, Ohio, with the Rev. Doug Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, New London, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics Ohio, 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, Ohio 43232.
