GOODALE, Virginia Viginia Goodale, 89, of Killingworth, died Thursday, (December 4, 2008) at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London. Wife of the late Leon R. Goodale who passed away in 1991. She was born in Deep River, daughter of the late Harold and Hilma (Tyler) Watrous. Virginia was educated in Deep River, was a long time member of the Ivoryton Congregational Church, member of the Killingworth Ambulance Auxiliary, Killingworth African Violets and volunteered at many elections in the Essex with her husband Leon. She is survived by her children: Harold R. of Serville, TN, Catherine E. Hilt of Niantic, Richard W. of Middlebury, VT and Amy R. Prevost of Ivoryton; as well as ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and her brother Fred Watrous of Avon Park, FL. Virginia was predeceased by her sons, Gerald and John and her brothers: Harold, Richard, Nelson, James and Ernest. Funeral services will be held at the Ivoryton Congregational Church, Main St., Ivoryton on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Centerbrook Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the church, Box 578, Ivoryton, CT 06442. Arrangements by Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook.
