BARRY, Thomas Thomas Barry, 59, of Enfield, entered into eternal peace, Sunday, (April 12, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, after a long illness. The son of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Vogel) Barry, Tom was born June 26, 1949 in Trenton, NJ and resided in Enfield since 1981. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. Tom was employed with Combustion Engineering, (now Westinghouse) for 37 years. He was formerly active with Boy Scout Troop 888 and the E. Windsor Sportsman Assoc. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Sandra (Forman) Barry; his son, Matt Barry and daughter Jennifer Barry. He also leaves his brothers, John Barry and wife Laura of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Joseph Barry and wife Terry of Tabernacle, NJ; and sisters, Diane Tyree and husband James of Key Largo, FL and Mary Beals of Marion, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Tom's life will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9- 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass, at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The American Red Cross Charter Oak Chapter, P.O. Box 5003, Hartford, CT 06102-5003.
