Anna F. Lapa ("Annie"), age 87 of Enfield, entered in Eternal Rest on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Blair Manor Nursing Home. Born January 18, 1927 in Willimansett, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Krystniak) Rosinski. Anna relocated to Enfield in 1965 and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She was the wife of a WWII hero, Alexander J. Lapa, who predeceased her on May 21, 2008; and she provided a very stable atmosphere, raising her family to the best of her ability, being there for her husband and children for many decades. In her free time, Anna enjoyed bowling at Enfield's former bowling alleys and playing the slot machines at the casinos. She loved to shop, and being very family-oriented, she especially enjoyed attending all of the family gatherings. She and her husband were snowbirds and in the winter you could find them vacationing in Florida. Anna is survived by her son, Allan P. Lapa; her four grandchildren, Arin Ceglia and her husband, Christopher, Andrew Lapa, Ryan LeClair and his wife, Melissa, and Aubrie LeClair; her two great-grandchildren, Emma and Isabella Ceglia; her sister Shirley Stafford; her brother, Stanley Rosinski; and her son-in-law, Roger LeClair. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea M. Lapa; and 9 brothers and sisters. Anna's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 20th from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., followed by a procession to the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, Alexander at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anna's name may be made to Blair Manor, c/o Activities Fund, 612 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082.
