ZAMPINI, Joseph A.
Joseph A. Zampini, 88, of Middletown passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at his home. He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years Dorothy C. Zampini. His loving daughter Mary Ellen Sosnowski, his full-time caregiver and son-in-law Robert S. Sosnowski. A grandson Matthew J. Sosnowski who was his pride and joy. A sister Vera Tirone. He was a graduate of Middletown High School. Joseph was a police officer in Middletown for 35 years holding badge # 1 in his later years. A veteran serving in the U.S. Army as an M.P.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. John Cemetery Middletown. There are no calling hours. The Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown is incharge of arrangements.

Joe was my first field training officer and it was an honor and pleasure. My condolences.

Dear Zampini Family:
I worked with Joe in the 1970's with the Middletown Police Department. He was an enjoy and a happy go lucky individual, with a good heart. We had some good times together and they will be remembered.
