PERCOSKI, Alan A. Sr.

Alan A. Percoski Sr., 67 of New Britain, loving and devoted husband of Donna (Grimaldi) Percoski for 33 years, died suddenly, Monday, (December 31, 2012). He was born Jan. 25, 1945 in Glen Cove, Long Island, N.Y. and is the son of Irene (Girouard) Percoski of Somers and the late Bradley Percoski. Alan was a proud US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the Director of Operations for the Lady Katharine Cruise Lines. Alan was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Alan A. "AJ" Percoski, Jr. of New Britain and his daughter, Amanda B. Percoski of Newington; brothers, Leonard Percoski and wife, Mary of Ellington and John Percoski and wife Carol of Broad Brook; his mother-in-law, Barbara (Pizzoferrato) Grimaldi of Newington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Louis S. Grimaldi, Thomas D. Grimaldi and wife, Kasey and Joseph Ciriello as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Percoski and sister, Susan Ciriello. A special thank you to nurses, Liz, Kathy and Terry for the care, love and compassion shown to Alan and his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (Jan. 5) at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 626 Willard Ave., Newington. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. The burial with full military honors will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Friday from 2-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield.
