McCUE, Alfred V.
Alfred V. McCue, 83, of Bristol, husband of Susan (Urrows) McCue and widower of Dora (LeBlanc) McCue, died on Wednesday (September 25, 2013) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. Al was born in Bristol on July 5, 1930 and was a son of the late Alfred W. McCue and Gertrude (Bachman) McCue Thaxton. He was a longtime Bristol resident where he worked as an electrician for Bristol Brass for 20 years and New Departure for 15 years before retiring. He has resided in Farmington for the past 20 years. He was a United States Veteran of the Korean War and was a life member of the Bristol Elk's Lodge #1010 and a member of St. Matthew Church in Forestville. In addition to his wife, Al is survived by a son, Scott McCue of Farmington; two sisters, Patricia Fein of Columbus, OH and Carol "Susie" Ingram of Brighton, MI; four grandchildren, Christina, Kaitlyn, Matthew, and Evan McCue; two great grandchildren, Justin and Avayaih; brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Paul and Nancy LeBlanc of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Gary McCue and a sister, Joan Sullivan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
