Armand E. DelNegro, 90, beloved husband of Margaret (DiMuzio) DelNegro, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. Born in Waterburyon May 17, 1923, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria (Loverde) DelNegro. Armand was proud to have served our country in the US Navy
in the Pacific. He was a retired employee of Scovill Manufacturing Co. where he worked for over 35 years. Armand and Margaret built their home in Wolcott in 1957 and they were parishioners of St. Pius X Church. Armand cherished being with family and friends and was an avid sports fan. Besides his wife Margaret of 66 years, Armand was the devoted father of three children, Susan and her husband Paul Pitcher of Bristol, Michael and his wife Louise DelNegro of Avon, Nancy and her husband Joseph T. Renda Sr. of Bethel, three grandchildren Kimberly and her husband Scott Anderson, Tami and her husband Timothy Sullivan, Michael Renda, two great grandchildren Brennen and Kennedy Sullivan and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675. All funeral services are private. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Wolcott has been entrusted with the arrangements.
