Aviva Eichler(1952 - 2014)

1952 - 2014 Aviva Weisel Eichler passed away in Beer Sheva, Israel on Sunday night, March 2, 2014. Born in Paterson, New Jersey to Helen Weisel and the late Alfred Weisel, Ms. Eichler moved with her family to Hartford as an infant and lived in Hartford and in West Hartford. A graduate of the Yeshiva of Hartford and Conard High School, Ms. Eichler received a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. She authored numerous scientific articles and worked as an editor and translator of scientific papers. Ms. Eichler and her family made their home in Beer Sheva, Israel. Ms. Eichler is mourned by her husband, Dr. David Eichler, her son Maor (Hemdat), her son Raanan (Hayah), her son Ari, her son Noam, and her grandchildren Rachel, Yoel, Shani, Naama, and Itai (all of Israel); her mother, Helen Weisel of West Hartford; her brother David Weisel (Barbara) of Potomac, Maryland; her sister, Ilana Weisel, of Silver Spring, Maryland; her brother, Hillel Weisel (Audra), of Seymour, Connecticut; and a large circle of family and friends.
