AMADIO, Barbara A.

Barbara A. Amadio, 80, of Bristol, passed away Thursday evening, October 11, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 59 years to Frank Amadio. Barbara was born on April 23, 1932 in Leominster, MA a daughter of the late Hermas and Florence (Larriviere) DeBonville. She was a member of St. Gregory The Great Church and leaves many friends and relatives. The family wishes to thank Cancer Center of Bristol and Bristol Hospice Group for their gentle and loving care, as well as Dr. Jonathan Rosen and Dr. Christopher Wakem. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, John Amadio and his wife Kelly; four daughters, Kathryn Ganski and her husband Lawrence, Jane Jaworski and her husband Michael, Linda Corbat, Donna Galvin and her husband John; her grandchildren, Ryan, Evan and Michaela Amadio, Lauren, Julie and Matthew Ganski, Marisa, Mark and Matthew Jaworski, Diana and Megan Corbat, Laura Schiavone, Chelsea, Patrick and Sean Galvin; and a great granddaughter Ashley Bagot and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. directly at St. Gregory The Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at The O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol.
