MOSHER, Beecher B. "Mo"

Beecher Mosher, 79, of West Hartford, passed away Wednesday, (December 5, 2012) after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Born October 4, 1933 in Limestone Siding, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Joseph and Martha (Dee) Mosher. He is survived by his beloved wife Beverly of nearly 42 years. Mo is also survived by his four daughters, Lisa Mosher of Ormond Beach, FL., Cindy Vancour and husband Wes of Manchester, Marcia Mosher and Patti Kviesis of Canton, GA; his five grandchildren, Amanda Barrera and husband Matthew, Bailey Pearson and husband Stephen, Wesley Vancour, Jacquelyn Vancour and Logan Kviesis; his great grandchildren, Stephen and Victoria Pearson; his brother Gerald McLaughlin and his cherished cat, Socks. He was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. Mo was a decorated veteran of The Korean War, proudly serving in The 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. Mo received The Republic of South Korea Presidential Citation an honor of which he was most proud. He was an electrician by trade and the electrical and mechanical superintendent at The Travelers for over 25 years. Mo loved golfing, achieving a hole in one. He was a dedicated Red Sox fan, an avid bowler and never missed The UConnWomens Basketball games. He would lend a helping hand to anyone or any animal that came to his door. Mo will be dearly missed.
Calling hours will be Sunday, December 9, from 2-6 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford.
