COTE, Carroll P. "Carl"

Carroll P. "Carl" Cote, 65, of Farmington, beloved husband of Laurel (Schneider) Cote, passed away peacefully Saturday, (December 29, 2012) after a yearlong battle with Leukemia. He was born in Ft. Kent, ME, moving to Connecticut in 1955. He grew up in New Britain, attending local schools and honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps. He worked at Cott Soda Company for 12 years and then moved on to HPC Hartford Provision Company for 20 years, retiring in 2002 after being a dedicated Teamster member. He also worked at Carling Technologies for two years and two years more at Seabury Retirement as a Custodian. Besides his beloved wife of 29 years, he is survived by his two stepdaughters, Lisa Kliszewski and her husband Mark and Kim Carrier and her husband Steve; his six grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Steven, Sarah, Aimee and Christopher; his brother, Clifford P. Cote and his wife Karen of Kensington; his sisters, Deborah Miles and her husband Kevin of Plainville, Donna Karpenko and her husband Dony of Fort Worth, TX; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks go out to everyone on the Sixth Floor Oncology and Hematology for the outstanding care given to Carl. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Wasser and his staff at the Neag Cancer Center at John Dempsey Hospital.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Friday (Jan. 4) from 5-8 p.m. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Saturday (Jan. 5) at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington.
