Clarence A. Beaupre(1919 - 2014)



Clarence A. Beaupre, 94, of Tolland, beloved husband of Agatha (Cyr) Beaupre passed away at his home on Sunday, January 26. He was born August 14, 1919 in Grand Isle, Maine, the son of the late Jean and Marie (Martin) Beaupre. He worked for the Boston & Maine Railroad Company before serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and was employed by Hamilton Standard for 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Matthews Church in Tolland, an active member of the New England Association of Chief of Police, and a life member of the VFW Post 15007. He was an honorary member of the Hartford Country Sheriffs Association, Franco-American War Veterans, American Legion, and a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Besides his devoted wife Agatha of 66 years, Clarence is survived by his sister, Anne Chasse of Madawaska, ME; his four children, Elaine Beaupre Lazlo, Jean Beaupre Carlson , James Beaupre and wife Lisa Brooks, George Beaupre and wife Bela; six grandchildren, Mathew and Andrew Lazlo, Amy and Amanda Carlson, Alex and Michael Beaupre. He also leaves a dear friend Dennis Carlson. He was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends may join the family Wednesday, January 29 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd, Tolland. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, January 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthews Church, Tolland. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Rockville. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Tolland Fire Department and home care givers for their support during the past few years.
