FALSONE, Dorothy S.

Dorothy S. Falsone, 100, of Southington, passed away Friday, (January 18, 2013), at Southington Care Center. She was born on June 17, 1912 in Niagara Falls, NY the daughter of the late Ralph and May (Conroy) Smale. Dorothy raised her family as a single mother she lost her husband while her family was young. She worked as an executive secretary for Textron Industries. After her family was raised, she moved to CA, then to FL and finally residing in Southington. Dorothy was full of life and loved to travel visiting many countries over the years. She was a very independent, living alone well into her nineties. Dorothy loved animals and had special dogs Holly and Sashi. Classy by nature she was always well dressed and never kept her thoughts to herself. She is survived by her daughter Maryellen Overgaard, her son William Brinkworth; her son-in-law Tim Broderick; grandchildren, Kevin Meghan, John, Andrew and great-grandchild Isabella Mae. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Brinkworth. The family would like to express special appreciation to the staff of Mulberry Gardens Day program where she spend many happy days as well as Dr. Babiarz and the staff at Southington Care Center. Special thanks to her caregiver and special friend Rose Romano.
