BUDNIK, Edward Peter

Edward Peter Budnik, 91, of New Britain passed away Sunday (May 26, 2013). He was the son of the late Stanley and Judith (Sapkowski) Budnik. He was a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical School and served in the Army in Europe during WWII. Edward was employed at Stanadyne Manufacturing for over forty years. He was a devoted family man and a wonderful grandfather who enjoyed many day trips with his wife. He leaves his wife of over seventy years, Lucy (Lupinski); a daughter, Karen and her husband, Richard Cruanes of Berlin; a granddaughter, Kari and her husband Michael Buck of Glastonbury and a grandson, Eric Cruanes of Berlin; he also leaves two sisters, Sophie Kardok of New Britain and Helen Mrozowski of Rockfall; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Henry and Lucien and a sister Ceil Simonovich. His family would like to thank the nurses and CNA's of Unit 5 North at Aurora Senior Living (formerly Brittany Farms) for their kindness, care and compassion.
Relatives and friends may call on Edward's family on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2013 at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt Street, New Britain from 8:30-9:30 a.m. A procession will form at 9:30 a.m. to Sacred Heart Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
