Eleanor I. (Matthews) Bilodeau, 81, of Cromwell, beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Bilodeau Sr., died Monday, (September 17, 2001) surrounded by her loving children. Born in Westfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Ethel (Judson) Matthews. She was raised in Windsor and resided in Hartford prior to moving to Cromwell. She was employed by Aetna Life for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Cromwell Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Bilodeau Jr. and Thomas and Mariella Bilodeau, all of Hebron; three daughters and son-in-law, Jeanne Bilodeau and Alan Cowan of Bristol, Donna and Donald Soucy of East Hartford, and Janice Bilodeau of Hartford; 11 grandchildren, Lynn, David, Andrea, Michelle, Danial, Scott, Shawn, Nicole, Matthew, Thomas Jr., and Alicia; five great grandchildren, Brittany, Jason Jr., Jordann, Brianna and Joshua; and two very special lifelong friends, Thelma Bergstrom and Nancy Bilodeau. Funeral services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., in the First Congregational Church, Cromwell. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Coventry.
