DEPASQUALE, George A.

George A. DePasquale, 84, of Hartford and Farmington, died peacefully, Friday, (June 14, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. He was born June 11, 1929 in Hartford and was the son of the late Pasquale and Alice (Morea) DePasquale. He attended local schools and worked alongside his father in the family bakery, DePasquale Brothers, on Franklin Avenue in Hartford's South End. George was a proud Korean War, U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a pressman for the former Hartford Times and later moved to California where he enjoyed a 30 year career as a pressman and foreman employed by the San Franciso Chronicle. George formerly was a member of First Company Governor's Horse Guard. He is survived by his sisters, Marian (DePasquale) Cardone of Hartford, with whom he shared a home and Teresa E. and Leo Lattizori of West Hartford; a niece and two nephews, Lisa L. Mancini and husband Alfredo of West Hartford, John F. Lattizori and wife Andrea of Annapolis, MD and Steven M. Lattizori and wife Robin of Marietta, GA; and five grand nieces and nephews, Christine, Marc, Michael, Lauren and Jack.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (June 17) at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 110 Main St., Farmington. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. The burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plainville with full military honors. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
